LOCATION
We are a riding school and livery yard located in Luang Prabang, Laos, South East Asia. We are the very first horse riding school in Luang Prabang, built and developed by Mrs. Saita with the dedicated help of horseman Khamphou and volunteers. We have created a strong reputation in the community and encourage riders to grow in confidence while having fun in a safe environment. Our dedicated and skilled team members are here to help everyone achieve their goals, from novice to advanced riders.
HORSE CARE
We take care of our ponies very seriously. That's why all of our services come with a grooming and horse care session. We wish to teach our riders how to look after horses properly, as well as ride them the right way. Our aim is to promote a safe, happy, and healthy environment for our riders and horses at the riding school. Ethology-based riding, bitless, and bareback riding is our passion.
OUR OBJECTIVE
Teach horseback riding to children and adults with respect for the animal. To introduce the horse to the outside world and promote ethological riding, to teach our riders that the horse is a fabulous, sensitive, and very intelligent animal. To teach horse riding or rather to be a horse person, who speaks horse and who develops thanks to their presence.

SAITA, owner & Horse loverSaita Aurore KIATIKHEMA, who has French and Laotian heritage, has been living in Laos since 2017.
She has significant experience since she was a child, and has also studied sports studies, horseback riding, agronomy, farm management and passed her diplomas in France. She has had a love for horses since she was a child and was excited to discover that Laos had its own small horse breeds that were not well cared for by the local ethnic groups. Her first purchase of a horse was a surprise when her Laotian aunt Bounleua introduced her to a farmer who owned two small Hmong horses near the Champassak district in southern Laos. She ended up buying one of the foals from the farmer that same day as he did not want to keep the foal not knowing what to do with it. |

MR KAMPHOU Khamphou is from Khamu ethnicity and leaves in Luang Prabang province, Pak Ou district. He started working at the Stable recently in May 2023. Had never ride or took care of horses before. He learned everything and love taking care of the ponies, maintaining the stables, trails and the ponies in shape in his daily tasks. As we increased the amount of horses and visitors Khamphou is learning how to be a good groom & horseman at NamKhan Horses Stables.
